Global Strategies

We work at regional and global levels to promote policies and strategies that can help accelerate progress in the countries where we work and around the world.

Ocean ecosystems and seafood markets are global. Our strategies need to reflect that reality. We work to promote policies and strategies that accelerate progress in specific countries with outsized influence on ocean health, as well as across regions and around the world.

Specifically, we work with partners to advance the following global strategies:

  • Promote global markets for sustainable seafood;
  • Work to eliminate illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, referred to as “illegal fishing” here; and
  • Protect seabirds and shorebirds and their habitats.
