Katie Shragge is the director of Grants Management at The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, where she leads the Foundation’s Grants Management team. In this role, Katie advances the Foundation’s mission by stewarding transparent, effective, and values-aligned grantmaking practices that support grantees and enable staff to do their best work.
With over a decade of experience in philanthropic operations, Katie oversees the Foundation’s end-to-end grant processes, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, driving innovation in systems and tools, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture across the organization. She partners closely with colleagues in legal, finance, IT, and all program areas to continuously improve operations and promote an exceptional grantee experience.
Katie brings deep sector expertise from previous roles at the Mellon Foundation, the Revson Foundation, and other philanthropic institutions. She is a trusted thought partner to internal teams and peers in the field, frequently sharing and learning from best practices to help shape the future of equitable and efficient grantmaking.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys cooking, making quilts, and spending time with her husband, two daughters, and their two beloved rescue pups.
