Amy Ticsay is the data officer at The David and Lucile Packard Foundation. She leads data strategy, analytics, and grants data management on the Grants Data and Operations team, helping staff use data more intentionally to guide decisions, strengthen operations, and amplify the Foundation’s impact. She also co-leads the cross-functional Data, Analytics, and Insights team, which brings together colleagues across Grants Data and Operations, Finance, IT, Evaluation and Learning, Legal, and
Communications.
Amy joined the Foundation in 2022, bringing more than 15 years of experience in strategy, operations, and analytics across philanthropy, healthcare, cloud computing, telecom, and software technology. Prior to joining the Foundation, she held leadership roles at organizations including VMware, AT&T, Oracle, Stanford Healthcare, and PwC, where she led initiatives that ranged from optimizing telecom networks and driving go-to-market strategies to scaling data platforms, forecasting models, and business insights. Her ability to connect business strategy with technical execution has enabled her to support decisionmaking at all levels—experience she now brings to strengthen the Foundation’s systems, data infrastructure, and culture of learning.
A first-generation college graduate, Amy holds a Bachelor of Science and an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, where she focused on financial accounting, technology leadership, and strategy. Her MBA is a STEM-designated program with an emphasis on analytics and management. Amy is currently pursuing a Master of Computer and Information Technology (MCIT)—a graduate computer science degree—at the University of Pennsylvania, where she is a Dean’s Master’s Scholar. A lifelong learner, she is guided by the Haas Defining Leadership Principle “Students Always” and continuously seeks new ways to grow. She has also taught data strategy with UC Berkeley Executive Education and is passionate about using data and technology for good.
