My research broadly spans the areas of signal processing, communications, control, and machine learning. In recent years, my work has focused on the development of algorithms and theories for structured signal recovery using convex and non-convex optimization techniques. These include compressed sensing, low rank matrix recovery, phase retrieval, and graphical models. I have also worked on a host of problems in network science: network information theory, networked control, wireless networks, power networks, social networks, distributed coding, etc.
