Nicole Kravec is a communications officer at The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, where she brings extensive experience in strategic, mission-driven communications. She works in partnership with staff, peers, and grantees to use strategic communications in advancing bold climate solutions, protecting the ocean, and supporting scientific innovation for a better future.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Nicole led communications at Stanford University’s Center for Ocean Solutions. Her global communications work has included roles with Room to Read; the USAID-funded Lowering Emissions in Asia’s Forests (LEAF) program in Thailand; UNESCO’s World Heritage Marine Programme in Paris; WWF in Washington, D.C. and Malaysian Borneo; and the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust in rural Kenya. She has also served as a research associate and teaching assistant at Harvard Business School.
Nicole holds a B.S. in Communication and Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University, an M.A. in International Environmental Policy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, and a certificate in Environmental Communication from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment.
In her free time, Nicole enjoys yoga, spending time with her husband and two dogs, volunteering with the SF SPCA, and attempting to paint.
