Mouna Ben Garga is a civil society and leadership program officer at The David and Lucile Packard Foundation. She manages grantmaking that strengthens organizations, nurtures leadership, and defends civic space to help leaders, networks, and movements advance just societies and a flourishing natural world.

Mouna has over a decade of global civil society experience, including her work with CIVICUS, where she led the innovation portfolio and launched the Innovation for Change network, which established seven regional hubs to support collaboration and civic space. Her work has spanned Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, East Asia, and beyond. She also serves on the board of International Alert, a global peacebuilding organization.

She is a recognized design thinking facilitator, known for applying innovative tools to help organizations and movements address complex challenges.

Born and raised in Tunisia, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in accounting and a Master of Public Policy. She is fluent in Arabic, French, English, and Italian, and is currently learning Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys baking bread and writing short stories in the Tunisian dialect.
