Kelechi Emetuche (she/hers) is a Program Associate with Grants Data and Operations, supporting the Global Climate Initiative. Prior to joining the foundation, she had gained almost 10 years of experience in nonprofit project management, data analysis, operations, and fundraising. A highlight of her experience is the 3 years she spent at NRDC as the Development Program Assistant for the Southern California and Western region team. There, Kelechi oversaw all the administrative and operational initiatives for her team. She also Co-designed and implemented a department-wide Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programming and training, enhancing communication, understanding, and outreach to underrepresented climate change advocates and stakeholders. Additionally, having taught abroad for two years as an employee of the South Korean government, Kelechi has demonstrated skills in intercultural communication and public speaking. Kelechi holds a BA in International Relations with an emphasis in Global Business as well as a Master of Public Diplomacy from the University of Southern California. Outside of work, she has a passion for storytelling in all forms, travel, and gastronomy.
