Cherie Azzopardi (she/her) is a flexible program assistant at The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, where she supports multiple teams across the Foundation, working to ensure seamless grantmaking operations from initiation to close. In this role, Cherie partners closely with grantees and internal teams to manage grant timelines, coordinate reviews, and maintain clear, responsive communication throughout the process. She also plays a key role in onboarding new advisors and executive team members, managing cross-functional meetings, and supporting initiatives that foster collaboration and efficiency.

Cherie brings nearly a decade of experience in project coordination, client services, and operational support across nonprofit and innovation sectors. Prior to joining the Foundation, she held roles in client success, program management, and content production at organizations including CCD Innovation and The Nest. Her work has spanned food systems innovation, event logistics, marketing, partnership development, and more.

Cherie earned a Bachelor of Communication from the University of San Francisco. A California native, she thrives in environments that value collaboration, clear communication, and thoughtful systems. Outside of work, she enjoys supporting creative community projects, staying connected to local food and arts initiatives, and getting out in nature.
