APHRC aims to improve the quality of care received by survivors and young women accessing abortion services in Kilifi County by enhancing the knowledge and understanding around quality care amongst young women and community youth champions and improving service delivery models through provider trainings and strengthening referral mechanisms.

APHRC strives to conduct research in an inclusive manner. It has extensive partnerships with regional, national, and local CSOs to navigate the various contextual barriers toward enhancing access to services for marginalized populations including the urban poor, pastoral communities, persons living with disability, LGBTQI communities etc. APHRC aims to co-design the intervention with key stakeholders in the county including providers, young advocates, women and girls, officials and local CSOs. There is also particular emphasis on ensuring meaningful and inclusive youth participation at all stages of the project.
