Emma Jarvis (she/her) joined The David and Lucile Packard Foundation as executive assistant to the President and CEO in March 2023. She works collaboratively with other members of the President’s Office to manage the President and CEO’s calendar, travel and, institutional commitments.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Emma was chief of staff at St. Anthony’s, a social service non-profit in San Francisco’s Tenderloin. Her broad portfolio included community relationships, learning and evaluation, internal communication, and administrative support to its CEO and Board of Directors.
Emma has a Bachelor of Politics and Philosophy from the University of Cape Town, and a Master of Non-Profit Administration from the University of San Francisco. In a prior life, she was an ESL teacher in mainland China and Hong Kong SAR.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys volunteering on the board of uncommon.org, a tech nonprofit in her home country, spending time in nature, and reading books.
