Beatrice Chen is the board liaison and executive assistant in the President’s Office at The David and Lucile Packard Foundation. She supports the President and CEO, Chief of Staff, and Board of Trustees by coordinating board governance logistics, organizing board and committee meetings, and facilitating communication across teams to ensure seamless execution of organizational priorities.

Beatrice brings over 18 years of experience as a paralegal, where she specialized in complex family law litigation. Her strong attention to detail and calm, solutions-focused approach are central to her work.

Outside the Foundation, Beatrice volunteers with Open Heart Kitchen, which provides free meals to those in need across the TriValley. She is also the co-founder of a nonprofit that serves unhoused communities in the South Bay and San Francisco — an effort born from friendships formed while volunteering at the InnVision Shelter Network (now LifeMoves).

A Bay Area native, Beatrice enjoys exploring local finds, learning about native plant landscaping, and fostering dogs. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with a minor in Asian American Studies from UC Davis.
