Andrea Lozano is an evaluation and learning officer with the Environment & Science goal at The David and Lucile Packard Foundation. She advises initiative teams on evaluation and learning efforts, including evaluation and research designs, outcome metrics, and conceptual frameworks to understand and measure systems change. Andrea collaborates with teams across the Foundation to advance an organizational culture that supports ongoing reflection and adaptation of grantmaking strategies and implementation.
Andrea has over 15 years of experience in strategy, monitoring, evaluation, and learning practice in international development, philanthropy, and public policy. An ever-learner, she is passionate about promoting a culture of reflection and learning and advancing a grantmaking practice that is ambitious, entrepreneurial, and intentional about pursuing durable, systems change. Her career has offered her the opportunity to work closely with diverse teams across 12 countries in Asia, Latin America, and Africa and sectors (government, nonprofits, academia, and philanthropy). Andrea has a Master of Public Policy and Administration from Columbia University and a Licenciatura (equivalent to Bachelor degree) of Economics from the Tecnologico de Monterrey in Mexico.
Originally from Honduras, she enjoys exploring the outdoors and baking with her 4-year-old son.
