What We’re Doing

California Conservation Innovations

Advancing conservation issues in California through a focus on policies, funding, and by broadening engagement.

California Conservation Innovations (CCI) is a program of Resources Legacy Fund (RLF), funded by the David and Lucile Packard Foundation. As the Foundation’s primary form of grantmaking-focused investments in land conservation, the program seeks to advance sound conservation policies, increase conservation funding, and broaden engagement in conservation issues in California.

Two of the three CCI strategies will focus on policies and funding, including funding for urban and disadvantaged communities. The third and complementary strategy will help inspire a younger and more diverse conservation movement to engage in these conservation policy and funding opportunities to increase conservation benefits for all Californians.
