Our Response to the Coronavirus

The Packard Foundation is committed to responding to the urgent, unprecedented needs of our local communities and partners around the world. Our primary focus is to accommodate the unique demands shouldered by our grantees in the face of the Coronavirus.

A Message During COVID-19

Families, communities, and entire countries are facing complex challenges every day as a result of COVID-19. At the Packard Foundation, our founding values demand we act, and that we move quickly. This is why we are changing how we do business—adjusting our grantmaking processes to be as flexible as possible—and making new investments. Learn more below.

Supporting Our Grantees

We believe in the leadership of our grantees to make the best use of the Foundation’s funding during this crisis. In addition to providing flexibility in our grantmaking process and the ongoing support of our grantee partners, our board of trustees approved $41.3 million to specifically address COVID-19.
