Across the state of California, quality after-school and summer enrichment programs are an indispensable and integrated part of a sustained system of learning that ensures that all children become engaged, life-long learners and fluent in twenty-first century knowledge and skills. The Foundation’s After-school and Summer Enrichment Subprogram invests in after-school and summer enrichment programs in California, with the goal of reducing the opportunity and achievement gaps for low-income students.
