Driving Ecological Sustainability in Fisheries by Integrating Human Rights Issues

This project assessed the market and political forces driving human rights and labor abuses in the fishing and aquaculture industries and their intersection with environmental issues that are current areas of the David and Lucile Packard Foundation’s focus.

The report includes a presentation of potential general strategies to address these issues, an assessment of whether this is worthwhile area for the Packard Foundation to focus attention, and suggestions of potential vehicles for the Packard Foundation to engage to advance this agenda.
