Olivia Deich

Olivia joined the Packard Foundation in September 2016 as the Evaluation and Learning Officer. Olivia brings extensive skills in monitoring, evaluation and learning as well as strategy development. Most recently, Olivia worked as a consultant providing evaluation and learning services to a variety of social sector organizations focused on issues including public health, gender based violence, and early childhood education. Much of Olivia’s consulting work focused on using evaluation tools—i.e., dashboards, theories of change, measurement frameworks— to promote learning across foundations, for program staff, and for grantees.

Previously she served as a research fellow with the Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues in Washington, D.C., where her work focused on informed consent in research. And she worked with Westat on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. Olivia holds a master’s degree in public health from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health and a B.A. in English, Minor in Bioethics from the University of Virginia.
