Lane Gallett Smith is the Internal Communications Project Manager at the David and Lucile Packard Foundation. In this role, Lane manages communications between staff, leadership, and the Board of Trustees, oversees projects including the quarterly Docket, and provides communication counsel for internal teams and initiatives. Prior to joining the Foundation, Lane taught high school English in Arizona. Lane holds Bachelor’s degrees in both Secondary Education and English Literature from Arizona State University and a Master’s in Rhetoric and Writing from Northern Arizona University. Outside of the Foundation, Lane serves as a Board member for the California School-Age Consortium and the Junior League of Palo Alto Mid-Peninsula and is a volunteer wish granter for Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area.
