Kristina supports the Population and Reproductive Health program as a Program Analyst through UC Berkeley’s Bixby Center for Population, Health, and Sustainability. In this role, she supports grantmaking for the Sub-Saharan Africa and Global Youth strategies, with a focus on monitoring, evaluation, and learning. Kristina’s interest in reproductive health and rights stems from her experiences working with local organizations in Uganda and Ethiopia to improve maternal and newborn health and expand access to contraception. Immediately prior to joining the Foundation, Kristina worked with a non-profit pharmaceutical company to assess the feasibility of introducing a new, affordable hormonal IUD in Africa and South Asia. Kristina holds a Master of Public Health from UC Berkeley and a BA in International Affairs and French from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
