(JD) Jimmy Donelson III is a program associate on the Organizational Effectiveness team working with special projects, directed grantmaking, and Children, Families, and Communities grantees. Before joining the Foundation in 2020, JD worked as a consultant at the Bridgespan Group where he supported non-profits and philanthropies to gain sustainable financial and operational clarity. Prior to his work with Bridgespan, they served as the Diversity and Inclusion Policy Fellow at the Greenling Institute, where he advocated for workforce and supplier diversity and managed the organization’s internal equity program.
JD is an avid cook and is passionate about increasing the sustainability of queer and trans BIPOC communities. He holds a bachelor’s degree in American Studies with concentrations in Africana and Educational Studies from Carleton College.
