Bella Bucheli is a flexible program assistant (FPA), part of the Grants Process Management Team, and she helps programs and cross-programs with general operational and grantmaking support.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Bella was a fellow at the Ventura County Community Foundation based in Southern California, where she helped to uplift their new environmental initiative for the team. Before starting in the nonprofit sector, Bella was on her university’s grants committee, The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF), where she was the co-chair and led team meetings and participated in environmental grantmaking for the campus. Bella also studied abroad in Ecuador where she learned how the impacts from extractive industries threaten indigenous communities and their environment, and the importance of the environmental justice movement. Bella holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations with minors in climate science and policy, human rights, and professional writing from the University of California, Davis.
