Investment Objectives and Endowment History
The Foundation's investment objective is to earn above benchmark investment returns and grow the portfolio in order to provide significant, ongoing funds for current and future grantees.
Asset Allocation
Keeping in mind the investment objectives of the Foundation, our endowment is currently allocated among six asset classes. In the future, additional asset classes may be added.
Financial Statements
Our audited consolidating financial statements include the financial activities of the David and Lucile Packard Foundation and our affiliate, the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI).
Form 990-PF
As a private foundation, we file a Form 990-PF each year with the Internal Revenue Service. This return provides detailed financial data, a complete list of grants awarded, and other information about our Foundation.
