The Packard Foundation has a strong commitment to the development and effectiveness of private philanthropy. We continually strive to improve our own practices and effectiveness, and we share a responsibility to the help improve the grantmaking sector as a whole. To that end, the Foundation makes a limited number of grants each year to support and improve the philanthropic infrastructure and to build and disseminate knowledge about effective philanthropy.
