David Orr spent his career in technology, first with several internet startups, then with Yahoo! He has been a computer software engineer, a researcher working on internet search, and a director of technology managing the technology team for a startup. He has published in the fields of linguistics and computer science.
He lives in Los Altos, with his wife Katy and two children. He holds a BS in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University.
